Pricing
Diners pay no booking fee. Restaurants pay 5% of the order total when a booking is paid, and nothing else.
Last updated 30 October 2026
For diners
You pay a deposit of half the order, rounded up, when you book. The deposit counts against your bill. You pay the rest at the restaurant.
There is no separate booking fee or subscription. Prices are in the restaurant's own currency. Where tax applies, our payment provider shows it at checkout before you pay.
If the restaurant declines, or does not answer in time, you get the whole deposit back. See the refund policy for every case.
For restaurants
Tableset keeps 5% of the whole order total on each paid booking. The fee comes out of the deposit, so you are owed the deposit minus the fee. The current version has no subscription, listing or setup fee.
We pay restaurants by bank transfer and keep a record of what each restaurant is owed.
A worked example
An illustration, not a real booking. A diner orders food worth 60.00.
| Order total | 60.00 |
| Deposit paid by the diner (half the order) | 30.00 |
| Tableset fee (5% of the order total) | 3.00 |
| Owed to the restaurant | 27.00 |
| Paid by the diner at the restaurant | 30.00 |
Fees charged by the payment provider are not part of this table. Amounts are rounded to the smallest unit of the currency.
