What we collect when you use Tableset, why we collect it and who else sees it.

Who is responsible

What we collect

  • Account: your name, email address, role (diner or restaurant owner) and a password. The password is stored as a hash, not in plain text.
  • Bookings: the restaurant, table, date and time, party size, the dishes you ordered, the amounts, the status of the booking and a reference to the payment.
  • Notifications: messages we send you inside the app about your bookings.
  • Restaurant owners: the restaurant's name, cuisine, address, opening hours, tables, menu and prices.

We do not collect card or bank details. Those are entered with our payment provider.

Why we use it

  • To run your account and sign you in.
  • To make, confirm, cancel and refund bookings, and to tell you and the restaurant what happened.
  • To keep a record of what each restaurant is owed, and to keep the service secure.

Who else sees it

  • The restaurant you book sees the details of your booking: the time, party size and what you ordered.
  • Paddle, our payment provider, processes your payment and any refund and sees what you enter at checkout. Its own privacy notice applies to that data.
  • Our hosting and database providers store the data for us.

We do not sell your data. Tableset does not run advertising or analytics trackers.

Cookies and local storage

Tableset does not set cookies of its own. After you sign in, your browser keeps a sign-in token in local storage under the name tableset.session, and signing out removes it. The Paddle checkout may set its own cookies while you pay.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and booking records while your account exists and for as long as we need them for payment, refund and accounting records. You can ask us to delete your account at any time. Records we must keep for legal or financial reasons may be kept after that.

Your choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to see, correct, export or delete your personal data, or to object to how we use it. Email [NEXT_PUBLIC_SUPPORT_EMAIL not set] and we will answer. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
