Terms of service

These terms apply when you use Tableset as a diner or as a restaurant. By creating an account or paying a deposit you agree to them.

Last updated 30 October 2026

1. Who we are

Tableset is operated by [NEXT_PUBLIC_LEGAL_NAME not set]. Contact: [NEXT_PUBLIC_SUPPORT_EMAIL not set].

2. What Tableset does

Tableset lets you book a table at a restaurant in advance and pay a deposit online. The meal is provided by the restaurant, not by Tableset. Tableset is the booking and payment platform, and the restaurant is responsible for the food, the table and the service.

3. Accounts

You need an account with a name, an email address and a password. You are a diner or a restaurant owner. Keep your password private and tell us if you think someone else has used your account. You are responsible for what happens under it.

4. Booking and the deposit

  • When you choose a time, dishes and a table, we hold the table for 10 minutes while you pay.
  • The deposit is half the order, rounded up. It counts against your bill and you pay the rest at the restaurant.
  • After you pay, the restaurant accepts or declines. A booking is confirmed only when the restaurant accepts.
  • Refunds follow the refund policy. In short, a decline or no answer is refunded in full, and a late cancellation or a no-show means the restaurant keeps the deposit.

5. Fees and payment

Tableset keeps 5% of the whole order total, taken out of the deposit. See pricing. Payments and refunds are processed by Paddle, which applies its own terms and checkout. We do not see your card details.

6. Restaurants

If you list a restaurant you confirm you are allowed to take bookings for it. You agree to:

  • keep the tables, opening hours, menu and prices accurate;
  • answer booking requests within your response window;
  • honour the bookings you confirm, and accept that the deposit is refunded if you cancel one;
  • mark bookings completed or as no-shows honestly;
  • follow the laws that apply to your food business.

Tableset records what each restaurant is owed and pays it by bank transfer. A restaurant is owed the deposit minus the fee for completed bookings and no-shows.

7. Acceptable use

Do not misuse the service: no fake bookings, no attempts to break or overload it, no use of other people's accounts, and nothing unlawful.

8. Availability and liability

We work to keep Tableset running but do not promise it will always be available or error free. Tableset is not responsible for what happens at a restaurant. To the extent the law allows, our liability for any claim is limited to the deposit involved in that claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

9. Changes and ending

We may change these terms and will update the date above. Changes do not affect a booking you already paid for. You can stop using Tableset at any time. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms.
